Soooo,,,, This is my second time here. I didn't write a review last time, but the fact that I am back again says something. The food is great! Ditto on the service. Last time sat a table waitress was out standing. So we came back Truth is a buddy of mine eats here once a week who loves it. Sal and Gary our bar tenders make you feel right at home. As Arnold S. Stated, I WIIL BE BACK

Pretty good food! The manager, Russ (I think), was super accommodating when I showed up without my debit card and only enough cash to cover 90% of my order. He threw in my large Caesar salad for free! Thanks, Russ! Just that gesture brought me back in twice since then. My one negative feedback, the takeout staff - You guys have quite a handful of unfriendly/unhappy tweens working the takeout counter... I've never actually dined in there, but I hope the serving staff actually smiles at the guests. ;)

I have had my son's communion luncheon here and I have to say that the price was very reasonable. This is a cute little Italian place that you would never have thought that it was so elaborate and cute on the inside. I definitely say give this place a shot you will be surprised it's one of Villa Park's best kept little secret. I highly recommend this quiet and cute little place for a lunch or even a dinner date.

Delicious food!! We tried the lunch buffet for $9.95 all you can eat M-F 11 to 2- what a great deal! This was my first buffet here and it won't be my last. Everything was fresh and very tasty, you will not walk out of here dissatisfied the selections, pasta, chicken, stuffed peppers, vegetables etc. Soup and salads plus deserts. Enjoy!

So I guess, sadly, the former owner of La Tosca has passed away. But thankfully, all the things I loved about the original are now found at the new business, which is located at the same place. I've been coming here for years now, and am happy to see that they've kept what works. They have a lunch buffet that's currently $9.95 for a truly amazing spread of Italian deliciousness They usually have soup, all sorts of salads and salad fixin's, 4-5 Italian entrees, multiple sides, veggies, a few fried treats and at least one type of pizza. The selections change daily, are plentiful and delicious. Then after you've totally stuffed yourself like the pig that you are, you can top it all off with dessert - cakes, tiramisu, lady fingers, etc. They have it all. Now about the food itself, it's truly delicious. It's always hot, not overcooked and not sitting out for too long. The pizza is freaking awesome and if they were closer to home, they'd be my go-to. I also love all their entrees. The house made sauce (gravy?) is really tasty. Not too sweet and not too tangy. I love it. And I love La Tosca. Here's a sampling of the spread: - Spaghetti carbonara - sausage pizza - fried zucchini - eggplant parmesan - ziti - chicken vesuvio (I think) - pork chops I'm glad they've kept the tradition going, and it seems most of the staff are the same, and I'm guessing the chefs are also the same because the flavors of the sauces are consistent. I hope the new owner is very successful and the business continues to thrive.

If you're looking for a lunch buffet, La Tosca is a great deal with a great variety of food that is always different. At only $9.99, and kids eat free, its hard to pass it up.

After several take out dinners from here, I have to pay lip service to a new favorite. I can't speak to the service in house. I'd like to eat in but I don't think anyone wants my crying newborn for their ambience. Anyway, my wife has basically decided their eggplant parm is her favorite there. I've taken to the lasagna. The price is very reasonable. Pay attention for coupons in weekly mail flyers in your junk mail (if you're local like me). They also have special of the day for take out that changes with day of the week.

Easter Brunch was absolutely wonderful. Not crowded and food was fresh and tasty. Just the overall experience was fantastic. Prime rib was lean and very good. Did not need any sauce or juice on the beef. Salads were fresh. The eggplant parmigiana is my absolute favorite and they had it on the brunch table. Sweets and fruits were delicious!

We went here for Valentine's day dinner. The food was very good, however, it seemed as though the managers were only concerned with taking care of people that they knew. They went to tables all around us to ask how things were but never asked us. We were sat near the door and it was so cold every time someone walked in. We weren't given a second thought as we left, they were too busy giving roses and candy to people that they knew. We didn't care about getting roses or candy, but a simple "thank you for coming" would have been nice. Seems like they should just host dinners at home since they only care about the people they know.

I came from Italy to visit my friends. They took me to this restaurant. So I order a pizza, honestly it was the WORST pizza I had ever tasted in my life. A Little Cesar pizza is way better. We also order some appetizers they were DISGUSTING. Don't even mention the service took 40 minutes to get the check. I wen't to go eat 2 years ago the food was great the pizza was good the service was fantastic. I don't recommend this place.

Five stars for food / two stars for service! The food at La Tosca is very good. I have eaten there several times and have always had an extremely good meal. The resturant needs to work on their wait staff, either they need to be trained better on customer service or hire capable waitresses and waiters. Everytime i have had dinner there the service was spotty, meaning, I had to wait several minutes before our table was acknowledged, our order was taken and the wait staff disappeared until the food arrived at the table. There is no follow up once your order is placed. I truely want to see this resturant to succeed however, until they get there customer service improved it is going to be difficult. On the other hand, the bar service is impeccible. Please work on your customer service because you do prepared very good food!

Went for the prime rib special on Saturday nights. What a terrific deal. Food, service and ambiance were first rate. This has become a go to place for my family.

Came for xmas eve dinner. Sat for 90 mins and were served only 1 course after multiple times of asking 'where is our food!?!?!' Never had the waitress come back to check on drinks or clear table-bused my own table...were told 'sorry it's coming' and it NEVER came. We literally LEFT without our meal. I would never eat here again. Can't comment on much bc we were given nothing-no service, hardly any food, little bit of wine. Will NEVER go there. Horrible, awful experience. Our meal ended up being comp't (which well should have been) and that was appreciated considering the negative experience, so that was the only plus

Ordered pizza from there this weekend! Average at best the place has fallen off since the change in owners. Only reason for the 3 star review because the delivery driver "Justin" was a good and respectful kid.

Great food and service. My wife and I have enjoyed every meal we have had there. My wife is Sicilian, and an excellent cook. We know the difference between authentic delicious Italian food, and LA Tosca has delivered every time. I love their fresh salads. Their vegetables are awesome. La Tosca pizza is very good also. We have been there many times and we'll go back again soon.

We went there for Valentine's Day for dinner. I was so looking forward to a great dinner. We started with baked clams. They were cold, fishy and really nasty. So they took them back and said they would make them again. (At that point we didn't really want them, but whatever.). They were very apologetic about it and gave us a new order. They were just as bad as the first order. Wouldn't you think they would check to see if they were hot?? So they took that away again and dinner came. I ordered shrimp bisque soup and lobster ravioli. The shrimp bisque soup was cold and did not have a shred of shrimp in it. The lobster raviolis didn't taste like lobster. I didn't say a word because it is what it is and I was not going to send another thing back. (I never send food back by the way). The manager was apologetic about the clams and kept saying what can we do for you? Really??? How about a round of drinks or free dessert?? Nope, nothing, nada!!! It wasn't a cheap dinner it just tasted that way. Never ever will we be back there. Thanks for nothing!! Horrible!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
